Our office welcomes Legacy 2000 and Jonathan Santos Silva
Student Leadership & Engagement keeps growing, with the addition of the Legacy 2000 program, a peer mentoring program for Black and Latino first-year students. Legacy 2000 is led by Jonathan Santos Silva, who graduated from Northeastern summa cum laude in 2005 with dual concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Small Business and Marketing. As an undergraduate he was president of the student group Brothers About Change, responsible for developing such programs as Why White Kids Love Hip-Hop and the Women of Distinction Awards Banquet. He now directs Legacy 2000. He also serves as staff advisor to BAC and the campus chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Jonathan is also creating a program to promote entrepreneurship and financial independence among students of color.
